I cannot say enough about this incredible restaurant & their staff. I have frequently ate during peak hours as well as the not-so-busy hours. Either way the service, wait time, and quality of food is always the same: super fast, fresh & friendly! While I mainly cook at home, El Vaquero is definitely where we choose to eat when we go out for a meal & can’t stay gone from them for very long.
Wife and I finally had a chance to stop here and it was WORTH IT!!!. I got the Grilled Fish Taco and it was absolutely delicious also got a Carne Asada Taco and Burrito. Both excellent. Better and Cheaper than Taco Bell. If you haven’t tried this place you do not know what your missing. We are already looking forward to out next visit.
In a small town (Meeker) just north of Shawnee on highway 18, there’s a new Mexican food joint worth your time…The menu is simple and offers more specific items rather than a huge plate full of sides. The prices are very reasonable, and you can easily eat there for under $15.00. I will be back!

Had the quesadilla and my husband had the nachos both dishes were awesome super fast chips and salsa and guacamole was so fresh. Best dinner I have had out in awhile. Definitely recommend and will go back. Customer service was spot on. Just a great restaurant and family friendly.
Excellent food and fast service. Very friendly staff. Everything we tried was tasty and well prepared. The birria tacos are wonderful!!! Hard to find good Mexican food in Oklahoma, but this place nailed it. We will definitely be back.
